Dr. Dang Tran will give a guest lecture to the Investment Laboratory class on Thursday, April 7, 2:00-4:30 pm, on “Portfolio Management and Investment Strategy – Theory and Practices.” During his lecture, Dr. Tran will share his many years of risk management experience at Wells Fargo Bank and his own investment experience.

Dr. Tran retired as Senior Vice President of Wells Fargo Bank in 2005. During a career spanning almost three decades, he has served as relationship manager, international credit administrator covering Asia and Europe, manager of planning and analysis, and manager of human resources planning and development. His last position was counterparty credit risk management, with responsibility for approving risk limits for broker-dealers and banks. He now divides his time between photography and investing and managing his own investment portfolio.

Dr. Tran is an adjunct professor at UWest and teaches courses in finance. He earned his Ph. D. in International Business, with minors in Finance and Business Economics from University of California, Los Angeles.
