On Friday, March 2, the UWest Entrepreneurship Club invited the BOT member Mr. Roger Frank to meet with students. During this special meeting, Mr. Frank introduced his background and shared his experience and views about entrepreneurship. He emphasized that the essence of an entrepreneur is about filling the gap of needs; it is about starting from scrap and building a business to serve the needs. He further challenged all UWest students to come up with a unique Business Plan for competition. A meaningful discussion and interaction were enlightened along the whole meeting. Mr. Frank also led the participants to discuss and identify the UWest’s uniqueness during the meeting.
There were more than 40 people attended this meeting, including faculty/staff, students, and alumni. The President of UWest Entrepreneurship Club, Joyce Wang, started the meeting by introducing the club to the participants. UWest Entrepreneurship Club was established just two weeks ago. The purpose of this club is to help our students to gain practical understanding of doing business in the U.S., especially concerning entrepreneurship.
