The public is invited to attend a free guest lecture by Congresswoman Judy Chu, D-El Monte, in Room AD 205 at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012.
Congresswoman Chu will talk about how the US promotes trade abroad and how the US government can help businesses to export products.
The congresswoman will be accompanied by officials from an export-assistance program and they will take questions from the audience.
The lecture is organized by the Center for the Study of Minority & Small Business and the Department of Business Administration at UWest.
The lecture is part of a course, MBA 558 Seminar on Doing Business in China, taught by California Assemblyman Mike Eng. His class invites guest speakers with expertise in different subjects to discuss how to do business in China, including Hong Kong.
