The Rainbow Lotus Club at University of the West held an Ally Training workshop on Feb. 26 in Kenneth A. Locke Hall as part of an effort to Ally_Trainingcreate awareness about issues faced by lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgendered or questioning students.

The workshop was attended by faculty, staff and students. It was facilitated by Ebony Williams, program coordinator for the Queer Resource Center of the Claremont Colleges.

The training workshop was designed to provide a safe place for a discussion about issues faced by the LBGTQ community, such as homophobia and heterosexual chauvinism. Additional resources were provided to participants.
