The UWest Business program, with its focus on preparing professionals for the global business world, provides pathways and courses that fit your lifestyle: the traditional MBA pathway for in-person instruction; the Professional MBA (PMBA) for working professionals who benefit from a hybrid model, and; the Post-MBA, for those who already have extensive training and work experience who seek to enhance their career with a tailored set of courses. The built-in internship program connects you with a range of sites, from local businesses to large corporations, and provides a gateway to future employment.

Psychology »

Pursue licensure and prepare to become a therapist through our MFT (Masters in Psychology – Marriage & Family Therapy) program. With its focus on multicultural counseling, telehealth, and Buddhist psychological approaches, our MFT offers a distinctive pathway to the profession. The program takes pride in offering small teacher-student ratio, diversity, and individual attention in the classroom as the faculty nurtures all aspects of the therapist’s personhood. And an extensive network of practicum sites ensures you receive the applied training that you need.

Buddhist Chaplaincy »

Our Buddhist Chaplaincy department is internationally known and one of the few programs in the country that specializes in Buddhist spiritual care within an inter-religious framework. With its Master of Divinity (MDIV) degree, you can pursue your path to certification to work as a chaplain in healthcare, police departments, prisons, universities, and the military. The Doctor of Buddhist Ministry (DBMin) provides the exploration of praxis for chaplains and religious professionals.

Religious Studies »

Our flagship department offers a solid foundation in Buddhist studies and comparative religion. With concentrations in Buddhists texts and translation, mindfulness, and global Buddhism, the Master of Religious Studies (MA) gives you the opportunity to deepen your understanding of the academic study of Buddhism and prepares you for work in a doctoral program. Qualified students can pursue innnovative research through our PhD program.

At UWest, you can take that next step in your educational and professional journey as part of a close-knit campus environment that ensures the attention and support that you need.
