The Cost of Attendance is an estimate of what it will cost to attend University of the West for an academic year. There are two types of expenses that make up the Cost of Attendance: Direct and Indirect.

  • Direct Expenses- are costs that are billed by University of West Bursar’s Office. i.e. tuition, fees, room and board (if you live on campus) and meals.
  • Indirect Expenses- are not billed by University of the West; however, these estimated expenses are included in the Cost of Attendance for your planning purposes. i.e. books, supplies, personal and travel expenses.

A student cannot receive more than the cost of attendance from any combination of federal, state, institutional or private funding source.

Each student award letter includes that cost of attendance that was used to determine award eligibility. Students with questions regarding how the own cost of attendance was calculated, are welcome to stop by the Financial Aid Office for additional information.

The costs are subject to change without notice.
