Aupamyaparivartaścaturdaśaḥ|
atha khalvāyuṣmān
subhūtirbhagavantametadavocat-yo bhagavan bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ
sahaśravaṇenaiva asyāṁ gambhīrāyāṁ prajñāpāramitāyāmadhimucyate
nāvalīyate na saṁlīyate nāvatiṣṭhate na dhandhāyati na vicikitsati na
kāṅkṣati, abhinandati
ca prajñāpāramitām,
sa bhagavan kutaścyutvā kutropapannaḥ?
bhagavānāha-yaḥ subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ sahaśravaṇenaiva asyāṁ
gambhīrāyāṁ prajñāpāramitāyāmadhimokṣyate nāvaleṣyate na saṁleṣyate
nāvasthāsyate na dhandhāyiṣyati na vicikitsiṣyati na kāṅkṣiṣyati,
abhinandiṣyati ca darśanaṁ śravaṇaṁ ca,
dhārayiṣyati bhāvayiṣyatyenāṁ gambhīrāṁ prajñāpāramitām,
prajñāpāramitāpratisaṁyuktāṁśca manasikārānna vihāsyati,
na vipṛṣṭhīkariṣyati mānasam,
chandaṁ janayiṣyatyudgrahītuṁ dhārayituṁ vācayituṁ paryavāptuṁ
pravartayitum,
kariṣyatyanubandham,
anugamiṣyati dharmabhāṇakaṁ notsrakṣyati| tadyathāpi nāma subhūte
taruṇavatsā gaurnotsṛjati vatsam,
evameva subhūte yo bodhisattvo mahāsattva enāṁ gambhīrāṁ prajñāpāramitāṁ
śrutvā tāvanna prahāsyati dharmabhāṇakaṁ yāvadasyeyaṁ prajñāpāramitā
kāyagatā vā bhaviṣyati pustakagatā vā,
ayaṁ subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvo manuṣyebhya eva cyuto
manuṣyeṣvevopapannaḥ||
subhūtirāha-syādbhagavan
etaireva guṇaiḥ samanvāgato bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'nyebhyo
buddhakṣetrebhyaścyuta ihopapannaḥ?
bhagavānāha-syātsubhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'nyebhyo
buddhakṣetrebhyo'nyān buddhān bhagavataḥ paryupāsya paripṛcchya
paripraśnīkṛtya tebhyaścyuta ihopapannaḥ,
etaireva guṇaiḥ samanvāgato veditavyaḥ| punaraparaṁ subhūte yo
bodhisattvo mahāsattvastuṣitebhyo devebhyaścyuta ihopapannaḥ,
so'pyetaireva guṇaiḥ samanvāgato veditavyaḥ| yena maitreyo bodhisattvo
mahāsattvaḥ paryupāsitaḥ paripṛṣṭaḥ paripṛcchitaḥ paripraśnīkṛtaḥ imāṁ
prajñāpāramitāmārabhya,
so'pyetaireva guṇaiḥ samanvāgato veditavyaḥ| yena khalu punaḥ subhūte
bodhisattvena mahāsattvena pūrvāntata iyaṁ gambhīrā prajñāpāramitā śrutā,
na tu paripṛṣṭā bhavet,
na paripṛcchitā na paripraśnīkṛtā,
tasya punarapi manuṣyeṣvevopapannasya asyāṁ gambhīrāyāṁ
prajñāpāramitāyāṁ bhāṣyamāṇāyāṁ bhavati kāṅkṣāyitatvam,
bhavati dhandhāyitatvam,
bhavati cittasyāvalīnatā,
veditavyametatsubhūte,
ayaṁ bodhisattvaḥ pūrvāntato'pyaparipṛcchakajātīyo'bhūt| tatkasya hetoḥ?
tathā hi asyāṁ asyāṁ gambhīrāyāṁ prajñāpāramitāyāṁ bhāṣyamāṇāyāṁ bhavati
kāṅkṣāyitatvam,
bhavati dhandhāyitatvam,
bhavati cittasyāvalīnateti||
punaraparaṁ subhūte yena
bodhisattvena mahāsattveneyaṁ gambhīrā prajñāpāramitā pūrvāntato'pi
śrutā bhavati,
paryupāsitā paripṛṣṭā paripṛcchitā paripraśnīkṛtā ca bhavati,
ekaṁ vā dinaṁ dve vā trīṇi vā catvāri vā pañca vā dināni,
tasya tāvatkālikī śraddhā bhavati,
saṁhriyate ca,
punarevāsaṁhāryā ca bhavati paripṛcchayā| tatkasya hetoḥ?
evaṁ hyetatsubhūte bhavati-yena pūrvaṁ na saṁparipṛṣṭā bhavatīyaṁ
prajñāpāramitā, na
saṁparipṛcchitā, na
saṁparipraśnīkṛtā, na
cānuvartitā bhavati,
tasya kaṁcitkālaṁ chando'nuvartate asyāṁ gambhīrāyāṁ prajñāpāramitāyāṁ
śravaṇāya,
kaṁcitkālaṁ chando na bhavati| sa punarevotkṣipyate'vasīdati| tasya
calācalā buddhirbhavati| tūlapicūpamaśca sa bhavati| so'yaṁ
bodhisattvo'cirayānasaṁprasthito veditavyaḥ| navena yānenāgataḥ sa
bodhisattvastāṁ śraddhāṁ taṁ prasādaṁ taṁ chandaṁ prahāsyati,
yadutaināṁ gambhīrāṁ prajñāpāramitāṁ nānugrahīṣyati nānuvartiṣyate
nānuparivārayiṣyati| tasya dvayorbhūmyoranyatarā bhūmiḥ
pratikāṅkṣitavyā-śrāvakabhūmirvā pratyekabuddhabhūmirvā| tadyathāpi nāma
subhūte mahāsamudragatāyāṁ nāvi bhinnāyāṁ te tatra kāṣṭhaṁ vā na
gṛhṇanti phalakaṁ vā,
mṛtaśarīraṁ vā nādhyālambante,
veditavyametat-aprāptā evaite pāramudake kālaṁ kariṣyantīti| ye khalu
punaḥ subhūte mahāsamudragatāyāṁ nāvi bhinnāyāṁ tatra kāṣṭhaṁ vā
gṛhṇanti phalakaṁ vā,
mṛtaśarīraṁ vā adhyālambante,
veditavyametatsubhūte-naite udake kālaṁ kariṣyanti,
svastinā anantarāyeṇa pāramuttariṣyanti,
akṣatāścānupahatāśca sthale sthāsyantīti| evameva subhūte yo
bodhisattvaḥ śraddhāmātrakeṇa prasādamātrakeṇa premamātrakeṇa
chandamātrakeṇa samanvāgataḥ sa ca prajñāpāramitāṁ nādhyālambate,
veditavyametatsubhūte antaraivaiṣa vyadhvani vyavasādamāpatsyate,
aprāpta eva sarvajñatāṁ śrāvakatve pratyekabuddhatve vā sthāsyatīti|
yeṣāṁ khalu punaḥ subhūte bodhisattvānāṁ mahāsattvānāmasti śraddhā,
asti kṣāntiḥ, asti
ruciḥ, asti chandaḥ,
asti vīryam,
astyapramādaḥ,
astyadhimuktiḥ,
astyadhyāśayaḥ, asti
tyāgaḥ, asti gauravam,
asti prītiḥ, asti
prāmodyam, asti
prasādaḥ, asti prema,
astyanikṣiptadhuratā anuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁboddhum,
te ca prajñāpāramitāmadhyālambante| evaṁ teṣāṁ sā śraddhā sā kṣāntiḥ sā
rūciḥ sa cchandaḥ tadvīryaṁ so'pramādaḥ sādhimuktiḥ so'dhyāśayaḥ sa
tyāgaḥ tadgauravaṁ sā prītiḥ tatprāmodyaṁ sa prasādaḥ tatprema sā
anikṣiptadhuratā anuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁboddhum| te ca
prajñāpāramitāṁ prāpya sarvajñatāyāṁ sthāsyanti| tadyathāpi nāma subhūte
strī va puruṣo vā aparipakvena ghaṭenodakaṁ parivahet,
veditavyametatsubhūte-nāyaṁ ghaṭaściramanuvartsyate,
kṣiprameva paribhetsyate,
pravileṣyate iti| tatkasya hetoḥ?
yathāpi nāma tadaparipakvatvāddhaṭasya,
sa bhūmiparyavasāna eva bhaviṣyatīti| evameva subhūte kiṁcāpi
bodhisattvasya asti śraddhā asti kṣāntiḥ asti rūciḥ asti chandaḥ asti
vīryam astyapramādaḥ,
astyadhimuktiḥ astyadhyāśayaḥ asti tyāgaḥ|
asti gauravam,
asti prītiḥ asti prāmodyam,
asti prasādaḥ, asti
prema,
astyanikṣiptadhuratā anuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁboddhum| sa ca
prajñāpāramitayā upāyakauśalyena ca aparigṛhīto bhavati,
veditavyametatsubhūte ayaṁ bodhisattvo'ntarā vyadhvani
vyavasādamāpatsyata iti| kaśca subhūte bodhisattvasyāntarā vyadhvani
vyavasādaḥ- śrāvakabhūmirvā pratyekabuddhabhūmirvā?
tadyathāpi nāma subhūte strī vā puruṣo vā suparipakvena ghaṭena nadīto
vā sarasto vā taḍāgato vā udapānādvā tato'nyebhyo vā udakādhārebhya
udakaṁ parivahet,
tasya tadudakaṁ parivahato veditavyametatsubhūte svastinā anantarāyeṇa
ayaṁ ghaṭo gṛhaṁ gamiṣyatīti| tatkasya hetoḥ?
yathāpi nāma suparipakvatvāddhaṭasya| evameva subhūte yasya
bodhisattvasya asti śraddhā asti kṣāntiḥ asti ruciḥ asti chandaḥ,
asti vīryam,
astyapramādaḥ,
astyadhimuktiḥ astyadhyāśayaḥ,
asti tyāgaḥ, asti
gauravam, asti prītiḥ
asti prāmodyam, asti
prasādaḥ, asti premaḥ
astyanikṣiptadhuratā anuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁboddhum| sa ca
prajñāpāramitayā upāyakauśalyena ca parigṛhīto bhavati|
veditavyametatsubhūte nāyaṁ bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'ntarā vyadhvani
vyavasādamāpatsyate| akṣato'nupahataḥ sarvajñatāyāṁ sthāsyatīti|
tadyathāpi nāma subhūte duṣprajñajātīyaḥ puruṣaḥ sāmudrikāṁ
nāvamanākoṭitāmaparikarmakṛtāṁ cirabandhanabaddhāmudake'vatārya
samāropitabhāṇḍāṁ paripūrṇāṁ bhārārtāmabhirūḍhaḥ syāt,
veditavyametatsubhūte-evaṁdharmeyaṁ naurbhaviṣyati,
yaduta udake'saṁtīrṇabhāṇḍaiva saṁsatsyatīti| tasyānyena bhāṇḍaṁ
bhaviṣyati, anyena sā
naurvipatsyate iti|
evaṁ sa
sārthavāho'nupāyakuśalo dauṣprajñena mahatā arthaviyogena samanvāgato
bhaviṣyati, mahataśca
ratnākarātparihīṇo bhaviṣyatīti| evameva subhūte kiṁcāpi bodhisattvasya
asti śraddhā asti kṣāntiḥ,
asti ruciḥ asti chandaḥ,
asti vīryam,
astyapramādaḥ,
astyadhimuktiḥ astyadhyāśayaḥ,
asti tyāgaḥ, asti
gauravam, asti prītiḥ,
asti prāmodyam, asti
prasādaḥ, asti prema,
astyanikṣiptadhuratā anuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁboddhum,
sa ca prajñāpāramitayā upāyakauśalyena ca virahito bhavati,
veditavyametatsubhūte aprāpta evāyaṁ bodhisattvaḥ
sarvajñatāratnākaramantarā saṁsatsyati,
vyavasādamāpatsyate,
mahataḥ svārthātparihīṇo bhaviṣyati,
mahataśca parārtharatnarāśeḥ parihīṇo bhaviṣyati,
yaduta sarvajñatāmahārtharatnākarātparihīṇatvāditi| kā punaḥ subhūte
bodhisattvasya antarā vyadhvani saṁsīdanā?
yaduta śrāvakabhūmirvā pratyekabuddhabhūmirvā| tadyathāpi nāma subhūte
paṇḍitajātīyaḥ sārthavāhaḥ sāmudrikāṁ nāvaṁ subaddhāṁ bandhayitvā
svākoṭitāmākoṭayitvā suparikarmakṛtāṁ kṛtvā udake'vatārya bhāṇḍamāropya
pūrṇāṁ kṛtvā samaṁ yojayitvā yuktena vātenābhipretāṁ diśamanupūrveṇa
gacchet,
tatastadyānamiti,
veditavyametatsubhūte neyaṁ naurudake saṁsatsyati| gamiṣyatīyaṁ naustaṁ
pradeśaṁ yatrānayā gantavyam| mahālābhena cāyaṁ sārthavāhaḥ saṁyokṣyate
yaduta laukikai ratnairiti| evameva subhūte yasya bodhisattvasya
mahāsattvasya asti śraddhā asti kṣāntiḥ asti ruci chandaḥ asti vīryam,
astyapramādaḥ astyadhimuktiḥ,
astyādhyāśayaḥ, asti
tyāgaḥ, asti gauravam,
asti prītiḥ asti prāmodyam,
asti prasādaḥ, asti
prema,
astyanikṣiptadhuratā anuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁboddhum,
sa ca prajñāpāramitayā parigṛhīta upāyakauśalyena cāvirahito bhavati,
veditavyametatsubhūte nāyaṁ bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'ntarā vyadhvani
saṁsatsyati, na
vyavasādamāpatsyate,
sthāsyatyayaṁ bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'nuttarāyāṁ samyaksaṁbodhau|
tatkasya hetoḥ? evaṁ
hyetatsubhūte bhavati-yato'sya bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya asti śraddhā,
asti kṣāntiḥ, asti
ruciḥ, asti chandaḥ,
asti vīryam,
astyapramādaḥ,
astyadhimuktiḥ astyadhyāśayaḥ,
asti tyāgaḥ, asti
gauravam, asti asti
prītiḥ, asti
prāmodyam, asti
prasādaḥ, asti prema,
astyanikṣiptadhuratā anuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁboddhum| ete cāsya
dharmāḥ prajñāpāramitayā parigṛhītā upāyakauśalyena cāvirahitā na
śrāvakabhūmiṁ na pratyekabuddhabhūmiṁ vā pratipatsyante| api tu yena
sarvajñatā, tenaite
dharmā abhimukhāḥ saṁprasthitāḥ tato'syā anuttarāyāḥ
samyaksaṁbodherabhisaṁbodhāya bhaviṣyantīti|
tadyathāpi nāma subhūte
kaścideva puruṣo jīrṇo vṛddho mahallakaḥ saviṁśativarṣaśatiko jātyā
bhavet, tasya
kaścideva śarīre vyādhirutpadyeta vātato vā pittato vā śleṣmato vā
saṁnipātato vā| takiṁ manyase subhūte api nu sa puruṣo'parigṛhīto
mañcāduttiṣṭhet ?
subhūtirāha-no hīdaṁ bhagavan| bhagavānāha-sacetpunaḥ subhūte sa puruṣo
mañcāduttiṣṭhet, atha
ca punarna pratibalo'rdhakrośāntaramapi prakramitum| sa tayā jarayā tena
ca vyādhinā kṣapito yadyapi mañcāduttiṣṭhet,
tathāpi punarapratibalaḥ sa puruṣaḥ prakramaṇāya| evameva subhūte
kiṁcāpi bodhisattvasya asti śraddhā,
asti kṣāntiḥ, asti
ruciḥ, asti chandaḥ,
asti vīryam,
astyapramādaḥ,
astyadhimuktiḥ,
astyadhyāśayaḥ, asti
tyāgaḥ, asti gauravam,
asti prītiḥ, asti
prāmodyam, asti prema,
astyanikṣiptadhuratā anuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁboddhum| sa ca
prajñāpāramitayā aparigṛhīta upāyakauśalyena ca virahito bhavati,
kiṁcāpi saṁprasthito'nuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁboddhum| atha ca
punaḥ subhūte evaṁ veditavyam-ayaṁ bodhisattvo'ntarā vyadhvani
saṁsatsyati,
vyavasādamāpatsyate,
yaduta śrāvakabhūmau vā pratyekabuddhabhūmau vā sthāsyatīti| tatkasya
hetoḥ? yathāpi nāma
prajñāpāramitayā aparigṛhītatvādupāyakauśalyena ca virahitatvāt|
tadyathāpi nāma subhūte sa eva puruṣo jīrṇo vṛddho mahallakaḥ
saviṁśativarṣaśatiko jātyā bhavet,
tasya śarīre kaścideva vyādhirūtpadyeta vātato vā pittato vā śleṣmato vā
saṁnipātato vā, sa ca
mañcāduttiṣṭhet| tamenaṁ dvau balavantau puruṣau vāmadakṣiṇābhyāṁ
pārśvābhyāṁ svadhyālambitamadhyālambya suparigṛhītaṁ parigṛhya evaṁ
vadetām-gaccha tvaṁ bhoḥ puruṣa yenākāṅkṣasi yāvaccākāṅkṣasi gantum,
anuparigṛhītastvamāvābhyām,
na tavāntarāmārge patanabhayaṁ bhaviṣyati,
yāvanna tvaṁ tadadhiṣṭhānamanuprāpto bhaviṣyasi,
yatra tvayā gantavyamiti| evameva subhūte yasya bodhisattvasya
mahāsattvasya asti śraddhā,
asti kṣāntiḥ, asti
ruciḥ asti chandaḥ,
asti vīryam,
astyapramādaḥ,
astyadhimuktiḥ,
astyadhyāśayaḥ, asti
tyāgaḥ, asti gauravam,
asti prītiḥ, asti
prāmodyam, asti
prasādaḥ, asti prema
astyanikṣiptadhuratā anuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁboddhum,
sa ca prajñāpāramitayā anuparigṛhīto bhavati,
upāyakauśalyasamanvāgataśca bhavati| veditavyametatsubhūte nāyaṁ
bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'ntarā vyadhvani saṁsatsyati,
na vyavasādamāpatsyate,
pratibalo'yaṁ bodhisattvo mahāsattvastatsthānamanuprāptuṁ yadutānuttaraṁ
samyaksaṁbodhisthānamiti||
