Tathatāparivartaḥ ṣoḍaśaḥ|
atha khalvāyuṣmān
subhūtirbhagavantametadavocat-sarvadharmānupalambho batāyaṁ bhagavan
dharmo deśyate| nāyaṁ bhagavan dharmaḥ kvacitpratihanyate|
apratihatalakṣaṇo batāyaṁ bhagavan dharmaḥ ākāśasamatayā
sarvapadānupalabdhitaḥ| apratimalakṣaṇo batāyāṁ bhagavan
dharmo'dvitīyatvāt| apratilakṣaṇo batāyaṁ bhagavan dharmo
niṣpratyarthikatvāt| apado batāyaṁ bhagavan dharmo'nabhinirvṛttatvāt|
anutpādo batāyaṁ bhagavan dharmaḥ sarvopapatyanupapattitvāt| apatho
batāyaṁ bhagavan dharmaḥ sarvapathānupalabdhitvāt||
atha khalu devānāmindro
brahmā sahāpatiste ca kāmāvacarā rūpāvacarāśca devaputrā
bhagavantametadavocan-anujāto batāyaṁ bhagavan bhagavataḥ śrāvaka
āryasubhūtiḥ sthaviraḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ?
tathā hi bhagavan yaṁ yameva ayamāryasubhūtiḥ sthaviro dharmaṁ deśayati,
taṁ tameva dharmaṁ śūnyatāmārabhya deśayati||
atha khalvāyuṣmān subhūtiḥ
śakraṁ devānāmindraṁ brahmāṇaṁ ca sahāpatiṁ tāṁśca kāmāvacarān
rūpāvacarāṁśca devaputrānāmantrayate sma-yaddevaputrā evaṁ
vadatha-anujāto'yaṁ subhūtiḥ sthavirastathāgatasyeti| ajātatvātsubhūtiḥ
sthaviro'nujātastathāgatasya| anujātastathatāṁ subhūtiḥ
sthavirastathāgatasya| yathā tathāgatatathatā anāgatā agatā,
evaṁ hi subhūtitathatā anāgatā agatā| evaṁ hi subhūtiḥ
sthavirastathāgatatathatāmanujātaḥ| ādita eva subhūtiḥ
sthavirastathāgatatathatāmanujātaḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ?
yā hi tathāgatatathatā,
sā sarvadharmatathatā| yā sarvadharmatathatā,
sā tathāgatatathatā| yā ca tathāgatatathatā,
yā ca sarvadharmatathatā,
saiva subhūteḥ sthavirasya tathatā| tāṁ tathatāmanujātaḥ subhūtiḥ
sthaviraḥ| ato'nujātastathāgatasya| sāpi ca tathatā atathatā| tāṁ
tathatāmanujātaḥ| evaṁ hi subhūtiḥ sthavirastathāgatamanujātaḥ|
tathāgatasya yā sā tathatāyāḥ sthititā,
tayā sthititayā subhūtiḥ sthavirastathāgatamanujātaḥ|
yathā tathāgatatathatā
avikārā nirvikārā,
avikalpā nirvikalpā,
evaṁ hi subhūtitathatā avikārā nirvikārā,
avikalpā nirvikalpā| evaṁ hi subhūtiḥ sthavirastayā tathatayā avikāro
nirvikāro'vikalpo nirvikalpastathāgatasyānujātaḥ| yathā ca
tathāgatatathatā avikārā nirvikārā avikalpā nirvikalpā,
na kvacitpratihanyate,
evaṁ sarvadharmatathatā avikārā nirvikārā avikalpā nirvikalpā,
na kvacitpratihanyate| tatkasya hetoḥ?
yā ca tathāgatatathatā,
yā ca sarvadharmatathatā,
ekaivaiṣā tathatā advayādvaidhīkārā advayatathatā| na kvacittathatā,
na kutaścittathatā,
na kasyacittathatā| yataḥ sā na kasyacittathatā,
tataḥ sā tathatā advayādvaidhīkārā advayatathatā| evaṁ hi subhūtiḥ
sthaviro'nujātastathāgatasyākṛtatathatayā| yā ca akṛtatathatā,
na sā kadācinna tathatā| yataśca sā na kadācinna tathatā,
tataḥ sā tathatā advayādvaidhīkārā advayatathatā| evaṁ hi subhūtiḥ
sthaviro'nujātastathāgatam| yathā tathāgatatathatā sarvatra
sarvadharmeṣvavikalpā nirvikalpā,
evaṁ subhūtitathatā sarvatra sarvadharmeṣvavikalpā nirvikalpā| evameva
ca tathāgatatathatayābhinirmitaḥ subhūtiśceti
dvayamapyaluptametadabhinnaṁ bhedakānupalabdhitaḥ| evaṁ hi subhūtiḥ
sthavirastathāgatamanujātaḥ| yathā tathāgatatathatā nānyatra
sarvadharmatathatāyāḥ,
evaṁ hi subhūtitathatā nānyatra sarvadharmatathatāyāḥ| yā nānyatra
sarvadharmatathatāyāḥ,
na sā kasyacinna tathatā| saiva sā tathatā sarvadharmatathatā| tāṁ
tathatāṁ subhūtiḥ sthaviro'nanyatathatānugamenopagataḥ| na cātra
kaścinna kvacidanugatimupagataḥ| evaṁ hi subhūtiḥ
sthavirastathāgatamanujātaḥ| yathā tathāgatatathatā nātītā na anāgatā na
pratyutpannā, evaṁ
sarvadharmatathatā nātītā nānāgatā na pratyutpannā|
evaṁ hi subhūtiḥ
sthavirastāṁ tathatāmanujātastathāgatamanujāta ityucyate|
tathāgatatathatayāpi hyanugatastathatāṁ tathāgatatathatayā
atītatathatāmanugataḥ| atītatathatayā tathāgatatathatāmanugataḥ|
tathāgatatathatayā anāgatatathatāmanugataḥ| anāgatatathatayā
tathāgatatathatāmanugataḥ| tathāgatatathatayā
pratyutpannatathatāmanugataḥ| pratyutpannatathatayā
tathāgatatathatāmanugataḥ| tathāgatatathatayā
atītānāgatapratyutpannatathatāmanugataḥ|
atītānāgatapratyutpannatathatayā tathāgatatathatāmanugataḥ| iti hi
subhūtitathatā ca atītānāgatapratyutpannatathatā ca tathāgatatathatā ca
advayametadadvaidhīkāram| evaṁ sarvadharmatathatā ca subhūtitathatā ca
advayametadadvaidhīkāram| yaiva ca bhagavato bodhisattvabhūtasya tathatā,
saiva bhagavato'nuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁbuddhasya tathatā| iyaṁ
sā tathatā, yayā
tathatayā bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'nuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁbuddhaḥ
san tathāgata iti nāmadheyaṁ labhate| asyāṁ khalu
punastathātagatathatāyāṁ nirdiśyamānāyāmiyaṁ mahāpṛthivī tasyāṁ velāyāṁ
ṣaḍvikāramaṣṭādaśamahānimittamakampat,
prākampat,
saṁprākampat, acalat
prācalat saṁprācalat,
avedhat prāvedhat saṁprāvedhat,
araṇat prāraṇat saṁprāraṇat,
akṣubhyat prākṣubhyat saṁprākṣubhyat,
agarjat prāgarjat saṁprāgarjat tathāgatasyaivānuttarāṁ
samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁbudhyamānasyeti| punaraparaṁ subhūtiḥ sthavirastān
devaputrānāmantrayate sma-evaṁ hi devaputrāḥ subhūtiḥ
sthavirastathāgatamanujātaḥ||
punaraparaṁ subhūtiḥ
sthaviro na rūpamanujāto na vedanāṁ na saṁjñāṁ na saṁskārān na
vijñānamanujāto na srotaāpattiphalamanujāto na sakṛdāgāmiphalaṁ na
anāgāmiphalaṁ na arhattvaphalamanujāto na pratyekabuddhatvamanujāto na
buddhatvamanujātaḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ?
tathā hi te dharmā na saṁvidyante nopalabhyante yairanujāyeta,
ye cānujāyeran| evaṁ hi subhūtiḥ sthavirastathāgatamanujātaḥ||
atha khalvāyuṣmān śāriputro
bhagavantametadavocat-gambhīracaryeyaṁ bhagavan yaduta tathatā| evamukte
bhagavānāyuṣmantaṁ śāriputrametadavocat-evametacchāriputra,
evametat| gambhīracaryeyaṁ śāriputra yaduta yathatā| asmin khalu
punastathatānirdeśe nirdiśyamāne trayāṇāṁ
bhikṣuśatānāmanupādāyāsravebhyaścittāni vimuktāni,
pañcānāṁ ca bhikṣuṇīśatānāṁ virajo vigatamalaṁ dharmeṣu
dharmacakṣurviśuddham,
pañcabhiśca devaputrasahasraiḥ pūrvaparikarmakṛtairanutpattikeṣu
dharmeṣu kṣāntiḥ pratilabdhā,
ṣaṣṭeśca bodhisattvānāmanupādāyāsravebhyaścittāni vimuktāni||
atha khalvāyuṣmān
śāriputrasteṣāṁ bodhisattvānāmanupādāyāsravebhyaścittāni vimuktāni
viditvā bhagavantametadavocat-ko bhagavan hetuḥ kaḥ pratyayo yadeteṣāṁ
bodhisattvānāmanupādāyāsravebhyaścittāni vimuktāni?
bhagavānāha-etaiḥ śāriputra bodhisattvaiḥ pañcabuddhaśatāni
paryupāsitāni,
sarvatra ca dānaṁ dattaṁ śīlaṁ rakṣityaṁ kṣāntyā saṁpāditaṁ
vīryamārabdhaṁ dhyānānyutpāditāni| te khalu punarime prajñāpāramitayā
aparigṛhītā upāyakauśalyena ca virahitā abhūvan| kiṁcāpi śāriputra
eteṣāṁ bodhisattvānāmasti mārgaḥ śūnyatā vā ānimittacaryā vā
apraṇihitamanasikāratā vā,
atha ca punaretairupāyakauśalyavikalatvādbhūtakoṭiḥ sākṣātkṛtā,
śrāvakabhūmau nirjātāḥ,
na buddhabhūmau| tadyathāpi nāma śāriputra pakṣiṇaḥ śakuneryojanaśatiko
vā dviyojanaśatiko vā triyojanaśatiko vā caturyojanaśatiko vā
pañcayojanaśatiko vā ātmabhāvo bhavet| sa trāyastriṁśeṣu deveṣu
vartamāno jambūdvīpamāgantavyaṁ manyeta| sa khalu punaḥ śāriputra pakṣī
śakunirajātapakṣo vā bhavet,
śīrṇapakṣo vā bhavet,
chinnapakṣo vā bhavet| sa trāyastriṁśato devanikāyādātmānamutsṛjet-iha
jambūdvīpe pratiṣṭhāsyāmīti manyeta| atha tasya pakṣiṇaḥ śakunestataḥ
patataḥ ākāśe antarīkṣe sthitasya antarā cittasyaivaṁ bhavet-aho batāhaṁ
punareva trāyastriṁśeṣu deveṣu pratiṣṭheyamiti| tatkiṁ manyase śāriputra
api nu sa pakṣī śakuniḥ pratibalaḥ punareva trāyastriṁśeṣu deveṣu
pratiṣṭhātum? āyuṣmān
śāriputra āha-no hīdaṁ bhagavan| bhagavānāha-sacetpunarevaṁ cintayet-aho
batāhamakṛto'nupahato jambūdvīpe pratiṣṭheyamiti| tatkiṁ manyase
śāriputra api nu sa pakṣī śakunirakṛto'nupahato jambūdvīpe pratiṣṭhet?
śāriputra āha-no hīdaṁ bhagavan| kṛtaśca sa bhagavan upahataśca
bhavejjambūdvīpe ca patitaḥ san maraṇaṁ vā nigacchet maraṇamātrakaṁ vā
duḥkham| tatkasya hetoḥ?
evaṁ hyetadbhagavan bhavati-yadasya mahāṁścātmabhāvo bhavati,
pakṣau cāsya na bhavataḥ,
uccācca prapatati||
evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṁ
śāriputrametadavocat-evametacchāriputra,
evametat| kiṁ cāpi śāriputra bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'nuttarāyāṁ
samyaksaṁbodhau cittānyutpādya gaṅgānadīvālukopamān kalpāṁstiṣṭhan dānaṁ
dadyāt, śīlaṁ rakṣet,
kṣāntyā saṁpādayet,
vīryamārabheta,
dhyānāni, samāpadyeta,
mahaccāsya prasthānaṁ bhavet,
mahāṁścāsya cittotpādo bhavedanuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁboddhum|
sacedayaṁ prajñāpāramitayā aparigṛhīta upāyakauśalyena ca virahito
bhavet, evaṁ
śrāvakabhūmiṁ vā pratyekabuddhabhūmiṁ vā patati||
punaraparaṁ śāriputra
bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'tītānāgatapratyutpannānāṁ buddhānāṁ bhagavatāṁ
tacchīlaṁ taṁ samādhiṁ tāṁ prajñāṁ tāṁ vimuktiṁ tadvimuktijñānadarśanaṁ
samanvāharati,
ādhārayati nimittayogena,
na sa tathāgatānāmarhatāṁ samyaksaṁbuddhānāṁ śīlaṁ na jānāti na paśyati|
na samādhiṁ na prajñāṁ na vimuktiṁ na vimuktijñānadarśanaṁ
tathāgatānāmarhatāṁ samyaksaṁbuddhānāṁ jānāti,
na paśyati| so'jānannapaśyan śūnyatāyāḥ śabdaṁ śṛṇoti| sa taṁ śabdaṁ
nimittīkaroti| taṁ śabdaṁ nimittīkṛtya anuttarāyāṁ samyaksaṁbodhau
pariṇāmayitumicchati| tato veditavyametat-sthāsyatyayaṁ śrāvakabhūmau vā
pratyekabuddhabhūmau veti| tatkasya hetoḥ?
evaṁ hyetacchāriputra bhavati-yatprajñāpāramitayā aparigṛhītaḥ
upāyakauśalyena ca virahito bhavati||
śāriputra āha-yathāhaṁ
bhagavan bhagavato bhāṣitasyārthamājānāmi-yo bodhisattvaḥ
prajñāpāramitayā aparigṛhītaḥ upāyakauśalyena ca virahitaḥ,
kiṁcāpi sa bahunāpi puṇyasaṁbhāreṇa yuktaḥ kalyāṇamitravirahitaśca
bhavati,
saṁśayastasyānuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhiṁ prāptum| tasmāttarhi bhagavan
bodhisattvena mahāsattvena anuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁboddhukāmena
prajñāpāramitā bhāvayitavyā,
upāyakuśalena ca bhavitavyam| evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṁ
śāriputrametadavocat-evametacchāriputra,
evametat| yaḥ śāriputra bodhisattvaḥ prajñāpāramitayā aparigṛhītaḥ,
upāyakauśalyena ca virahitaḥ,
kiṁcāpi sa bahunā puṇyasaṁbhāreṇa yuktaḥ kalyāṇamitravirahitaśca bhavati,
saṁśayastasyānuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhiṁ prāptum| tasmāttarhi śāriputra
bodhisattvena mahāsattvena anuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁboddhukāmena
prajñāpāramitā bhāvayitavyā,
upāyakuśalena ca bhavitavyam||
atha khalu śakro
devānāmindraḥ sārdhaṁ kāmāvacarairdevaputraiḥ,
brahmāpi sahāpatiḥ rūpāvacarairdevaputraiḥ sārdhaṁ
bhagavantametadavocat-gambhīrā bhagavan prajñāpāramitā,
durabhisaṁbhavā bhagavan anuttarā samyaksaṁbodhiḥ| paramadurabhisaṁbhavā
bhagavan anuttarā samyaksaṁbodhirabhisaṁboddhum| atha khalu bhagavāṁstān
śakradevendrapramukhān kāmāvacarān devaputrān
sahāpatimahābrahmapramukhān rūpāvacarāṁśca devaputrānāmantrayate
sma-evametaddevaputrāḥ,
evametat| gambhīreyaṁ devaputrāḥ prajñāpāramitā| durabhisaṁbhavā
anuttarā samyaksaṁbodhiḥ| paramadurabhisaṁbhavā anuttarā
samyaksaṁbodhirabhisaṁboddhuṁ
duṣprajñairhīnavīryairhīnādhimuktikairanupāyakuśalaiḥ
pāpamitrasaṁsevibhiḥ||
atha khalvāyuṣmān
subhūtirbhagavantametadavocat-yadbhagavānevamāha-durabhisaṁbhavā
anuttarā samyaksaṁbodhiḥ| paramadurabhisaṁbhavā anuttarā
samyaksaṁbodhirabhisaṁboddhumiti,
kathaṁ bhagavan durabhisaṁbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṁbodhiḥ?
paramadurabhisaṁbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṁbodhirabhisaṁboddhum,
yatra na kaścidabhisaṁbudhyate?
tatkasya hetoḥ?
śūnyatvādbhagavan sarvadharmāṇām| na sa kaściddharmaḥ saṁvidyate yo
dharmaḥ śakyo'bhisaṁboddhum| tathā hi bhagavan sarvadharmāḥ śūnyāḥ|
yasyāpi bhagavan dharmasya prahāṇāya dharmo deśyate,
so'pi dharmo na saṁvidyate| evaṁ yaścābhisaṁbudhyeta anuttarāṁ
samyaksaṁbodhim,
yaccābhisaṁboddhavyam,
yaśca jānīyāt, yacca
jñātavyam, sarva ete
dharmāḥ śūnyāḥ| anenāpi bhagavan paryāyeṇa mamaivaṁ
bhavati-svabhisaṁbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṁbodhirabhisaṁboddhuṁ na
durabhisaṁbhaveti| evamukte bhagavānāyuṣmantaṁ
subhūtimetadavocat-asaṁbhavatvātsubhūte durabhisaṁbhavā anuttarā
samyaksaṁbodhiḥ| asadbhūtatvātsubhūte durabhisaṁbhavā anuttarā
samyaksaṁbodhiḥ| avikalpatvātsubhūte durabhisaṁbhavā anuttarā
samyaksaṁbodhiḥ| aviṭhapitvātsubhūte durabhisaṁbhavā anuttarā
samyaksaṁbodhiḥ| paramadurabhisaṁbhavā anuttarā
samyaksaṁbodhirabhisaṁboddhum||
atha khalvāyuṣmān śāriputra
āyuṣmantaṁ subhūtimetadavocat-śūnyamityanenāpyāyuṣman subhūte paryāyeṇa
durabhisaṁbhavā anuttarā samyaksaṁbodhiḥ| paramadurabhisaṁbhavā anuttarā
samyaksaṁbodhirabhisaṁboddhum| tatkasya hetoḥ?
na hyāyuṣman subhūte ākāśasyaivaṁ bhavati-ahamanuttarāṁ
samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁbhotsye iti| evaṁ ca āyuṣman subhūte ime dharmā
abhisaṁboddhavyāḥ| tatkasya hetoḥ?
ākāśasamā hyāyuṣman subhūte sarvadharmāḥ| yadi cāyuṣman subhūte
svabhisaṁbhavā bhavedanuttarā samyaksaṁbodhiḥ,
na tvevaṁ gaṅgānadīvālukopamā bodhisattvā vivarterannanuttarāyāḥ
samyaksaṁbodheḥ| yasmāttarhyāyuṣman subhūte gaṅgānadīvālukopamā
bodhisattvā vivartante'nuttarayāḥ samyaksaṁbodheḥ,
tasmādāyuṣman subhūte evaṁ vijñāyate-durabhisaṁbhavā anuttarā
samyaksaṁbodhiḥ| paramadubhisaṁbhavā anuttarā
samyaksaṁbodhirabhisaṁboddhumiti||
evamukte āyuṣman
subhūtirāyuṣmantaṁ śāriputrametadavocat-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra rūpaṁ
vivartate anuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṁbodheḥ?
śāriputra āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman
śāriputra anyatra rūpātsa dharmaḥ,
yo vivartate'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṁbodheḥ?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra
vedanā saṁjñā saṁskārā vijñānaṁ vivartate'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṁbodheḥ?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra
anyatra vedanāyāḥ saṁjñāyāḥ saṁskārebhyo'nyatra vijñānāt sa dharmaḥ,
yo vivartate'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṁbodheḥ?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra yā
rūpatathatā, sā
vivartate'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṁbodheḥ?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra yā
vedanātathatā saṁjñātathatā saṁskāratathatā,
yā vijñānatathatā, sā
vivartate'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṁbodheḥ?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra
anyatra rūpatathatāyāḥ sa dharmaḥ,
yo vivartate'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṁbodheḥ?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra
anyatra vedanātathatāyāḥ saṁjñātathatāyāḥ saṁskāratathatāyāḥ,
anyatra vijñānatathatāyāḥ sa dharmaḥ,
yo vivartate'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṁbodheḥ?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra
rūpamabhisaṁbudhyate anuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhim?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra
vedanā saṁjñā saṁskārā vijñānamabhisaṁbudhyate anuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhim?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte|
subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman
śāriputra anyatra rūpātsa dharmaḥ,
yo'nuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁbudhyate?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra
anyatra vedanāyāḥ saṁjñāyāḥ saṁskārebhyaḥ,
anyatra vijñānātsa dharmaḥ,
yo'nuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁbudhyate?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra
rūpatathatā anuttarāṁ saṁbodhimabhisaṁbudhyate?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra
vedanātathatā saṁjñātathatā saṁskāratathatā vijñānatathatā anuttarāṁ
samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁbudhyate?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra
anyatra rūpatathatāyāḥ sa dharmaḥ,
yo'nuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁbudhyate?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra
anyatra vedanātathatāyāḥ saṁjñātathatāyāḥ saṁskāratathatāyāḥ,
anyatra vijñānatathatāyāḥ sa dharmaḥ,
yo'nuttarāṁ samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁbudhyate?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra
rūpaṁ boddhavyamanuttarāyāṁ samyaksaṁbodhau?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra
vedanā saṁjñā saṁskārā vijñānaṁ boddhavyamanuttarāyāṁ samyaksaṁbodhau?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra
anyatra rūpātsa dharmaḥ,
yo boddhavyo'nuttarāyāṁ samyaksaṁbodhau?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra
anyatra vedanāyāḥ saṁjñāyāḥ saṁskārebhyaḥ,
anyatra vijñānātsa dharmaḥ yo boddhavyo'nuttarāyāṁ samyaksaṁbodhau

subhūte | subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra rūpatathatā boddhavyā
anuttarāyāṁ samyaksaṁbodhau?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra
vedanātathatā saṁjñātathatā saṁskāratathatā vijñānatathatā boddhavyā
anuttarāyāṁ samyaksaṁbodhau?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra
anyatra rūpatathatāyāḥ sa dharmaḥ,
yo boddhavyo'nuttarāyāṁ samyaksaṁbodhau?

anyatra vijñānatathatāyāḥ sa dharmaḥ,

āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-takiṁ manyase āyuṣman śāriputra
tathatā vivartate anuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṁbodheḥ?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte|
subhūtirāha-tatkiṁ manyase
āyuṣman śāriputra tathatāyāṁ sa dharmaḥ,
yo vivartate anuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṁbodheḥ?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-tatkatamaḥ punarāyuṣman
śāriputra sa dharmo yo vivartate anuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṁbodheḥ?
yastasyāmeva dharmatāyāṁ sthitaḥ sarvadharmāsthānayogena?
katamo vā punaḥ sa śāriputra dharmo yā tathatā?
kaccidvā punarāyuṣman śāriputra tathatā vivartiṣyate?
āha-no hīdamāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-evamāyuṣman śāriputra satyataḥ
sthitito'nupalabhyamānānāṁ sarvadharmāṇāṁ katamaḥ sa dharmaḥ,
yo vivartiṣyate anuttarayāḥ samyaksaṁbodheḥ?
evamukte āyuṣmān śāriputra āyuṣmantaṁ subhūtimetadavocat-yayā
dharmanayajātyā āyuṣmān subhūtiḥ sthaviro nirdiśati,
tayā na sa kaściddharmo yo vivartate'nuttarāyāḥ samyaksaṁbodheḥ| ye ca
khalu punarime āyuṣman subhūte trayo bodhisattvayānikāḥ
pudgalāstathāgatenākhyātāḥ,
eṣāṁ trayāṇāṁ vyavasthānaṁ na bhavati| ekameva hi yānaṁ bhavati yaduta
buddhayānaṁ bodhisattvayānaṁ yathā āyuṣmataḥ subhūternirdeśaḥ||
atha khalvāyuṣmān pūrṇo
maitrāyaṇīputra āyuṣmantaṁ śāriputrametadavocat-kiṁ punarāyuṣman
śāriputra āyuṣmān subhūtiḥ sthaviraḥ ekamapi bodhisattvaṁ
nābhyupagacchati śrāvakayānikaṁ vā pratyekabuddhayānikaṁ vā mahāyānikaṁ
vā| praṣṭavyastāvadayamāyuṣmān subhūtiḥ sthaviraḥ| atha khalvāyuṣmān
śāriputra āyuṣmantaṁ subhūtimetadavocat-kiṁ punastvamāyuṣman subhūte
ekamapi bodhisattvaṁ nābhyupagacchasi śrāvakayānikaṁ vā
pratyekabuddhayānikaṁ vā mahāyānikaṁ vā?
subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra yā tathatāyāstathatā,
tatra tathatāyāmekamapi bodhisattvaṁ samanupaśyasi śrāvakayānikaṁ vā
pratyekabuddhayānikaṁ vā mahāyānikaṁ vā?
śāriputra āha-na hyetadāyuṣman subhūte| tathatāpi tāvat
tribhirākārairnopalabhyate,
prāgeva bodhisattvaḥ| subhūtirāha-kiṁ punarāyuṣman śāriputra tathatā
ekenāpyākāreṇopalabhyate?
āha-na hyetadāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha-kaccitpunastvamāyuṣman
śāriputra tathatāyāmekamapi bodhisattvadharmaṁ samanupaśyasi?
āha-na hyetadāyuṣman subhūte| subhūtirāha- evamāyuṣman śāriputra
satyataḥ sthititastasya bodhisattvadharmasyānupalabhyamānasya
kutastavaivaṁ bhavati-ayaṁ śrāvakayānikaḥ,
ayaṁ pratyekabuddhayānikaḥ,
ayaṁ mahāyānika iti?
evameteṣāmāyuṣman śāriputra bodhisattvānāṁ tathatāyāṁ
pravibhāvyamānānāmaviśeṣatāṁ nirviśeṣatāṁ nirnānākaraṇatāṁ śrutvā yasya
bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya cittaṁ nāvalīyate na saṁlīyate na
pṛṣṭhībhavati,
veditavyametat-niryāsyatyayaṁ bodhisattvo mahāsattvo bodhyā iti||
atha khalu
bhagavānāyuṣmantaṁ subhūtimetadavocat-sādhu sādhu subhūte|
evametatsubhūte,
evametat| pratibhāti te subhūte yathāpi nāma tathāgatānubhāvena
buddhādhiṣṭhānenedaṁ vadasi| evameteṣāṁ bodhisattvānāṁ tathatāyāṁ
pravibhāvyamānānāmaviśeṣatāṁ nirviśeṣatāṁ nirnānākaraṇatāṁ śrutvā yasya
bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya cittaṁ nāvalīyate na saṁlīyate na
pṛṣṭhībhavati,
veditavyametat-niryāsyatyayaṁ bodhisattvo mahāsattvo bodhyā iti| atha
khalvāyuṣmān śāriputro bhagavantametadavocat-katamayā bhagavan bodhyā
niryāsyatyayaṁ bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ?
bhagavānāha-anuttarayā śāriputra samyaksaṁbodhyā niryāsyatyayaṁ
bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ||
atha khalvāyuṣmān
subhūtirbhagavantametadavocat-anuttarāyāṁ bhagavan samyaksaṁbodhau
niryātukāmena bodhisattvena mahāsattvena kathaṁ sthātavyaṁ kathaṁ
śikṣitavyam?
bhagavānāha-anuttarāyāṁ subhūte samyaksaṁbodhau niryātukāmena
bodhisattvena mahāsattvena sarvasattveṣu samaṁ sthātavyam| sarvasattveṣu
samaṁ cittamutpādayitavyam| na viṣamacittena pare ālambitavyāḥ|
maitracittena pare ālambitavyāḥ| hitacittena pare ālambitavyāḥ|
kalyāṇacittena pare ālambitavyāḥ| nihatamānacittena pare ālambitavyāḥ|
apratihatacittena pare ālambitavyāḥ| avirhisācittena pare ālambitavyāḥ|
aviheṭhanācittena pare ālambitavyāḥ| sarvasattveṣu mātṛsaṁjñāmupasthāya
pitṛsaṁjñāṁ putrasaṁjñāṁ duhitṛsaṁjñāṁ copasthāpya pare ālambitavyāḥ|
evaṁ hi subhūte bodhisattvena mahāsattvena anuttarāṁ
samyaksaṁbodhimabhisaṁboddhukāmena sarvasattvānāmantike sthātavyam,
evaṁ śikṣitavyam-sarvasattvānāmahaṁ nātha iti| svayaṁ ca
sarvapāpanivṛttau sthātavyam| dānaṁ dātavyaṁ śīlaṁ rakṣitavyaṁ kṣāntyā
saṁpādayitavyaṁ vīryamārabdhavyaṁ dhyānaṁ samāpattavyaṁ prajñāyāṁ
parijayaḥ kartavyaṁ,
anulomapratilomapratītyasamutpādo vyavalokayitavyaḥ,
anyeṣāmapi tatra samādāpakena tadvarṇavādinā tatsamanujñena ca
bhavitavyam| evaṁ satyeṣu yāvadbodhisattvanyāmāvakrāntau
sattvaparipācane ca sthitvā anyeṣāmapi tatra samādāpakena tadvarṇavādinā
tatsamanujñena ca bhavitavyam| tasyaivaṁ spṛhayata evaṁ śikṣamāṇasya
anāvaraṇaṁ rūpaṁ yāvaddharmasthitiranāvaraṇā bhaviṣyatīti||
āryāṣṭasāhasrikāyāṁ
prajñāpāramitāyāṁ tathatāparivarto nāma ṣoḍaśaḥ||
