|
|
The Department of Business Administration at UWest has again partnered with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to participate in the Volunteers for Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. The services will start soon. The following will be service dates/times:
Thursdays, 9am-12pm (from February 4 until April 15)
Saturdays, 10am-4pm (from February 20 unit April 10)
In this program, volunteers from UWest will help local residents file their 2009 Individual Federal Income Tax Returns as well as CA State Income Tax Returns. All volunteers are required to pass the IRS’s relevant tests before they can offer the services, and they will also be supervised by UWest professors Dr. Richard Phan and Dr. Bill Chen. UWest participated in this VITA program in the past 2 years and last year helped more than 300 people file their federal and CA State individual tax returns.
For any questions and our services, please contact Dr. Richard Phan at (626) 571-8811, ext. 127 or Dr. Bill Chen at (626) 571-88111, ext. 125
