Compassion in Daily Practice:
Exploring Common Ground

Compassion weaves a common thread through all major religions, creating
unity and strengthening humanity.
 
The 2010 Interfaith Dialogue is a collective collaboration to define compassion in daily practice and explore common ground among all the faiths represented at this conference.
 
Four panels will focus on specific questions relating to themes of compassion in daily life. Panel 3 will demonstrate compassion in practice through religious rituals or ceremonies. 

 8:00am - 9:00am: Registration
 
9:00am - 10:00am: Opening and Keynote Speech by:
Dr. Robert Lawrence Kuhn, Creator and Host, Closer to Truth and Chairman,
The Kuhn Foundation
 
10:30am - 12:00pm: Panel 1 - Compassion and Youth
Facilitated by: Dr. Terry Mathis, University of California, Riverside
 
10:30am - 12:00pm: Panel 2 - A Life of Compassion from Birth to
Death
Facilitated by Dr. Helene Slessarev-Jamir, Claremont School of Theology
 
12:00pm - 1:00pm: Lunch
 
1:00pm - 2:30pm: Panel 3 - Compassion in Practice - Sing, Chant,
Dance, Other
Facilitated by: Dr. Richard Rose, University of La Verne
 
3:00pm - 4:30pm: Panel 4 - Compassion in Charity & Social
Work/Exhibits
Facilitated by: Dr. Michael Kerze, Loyola-Marymount University

Minimum $10.00 donation to cover conference materials and lunch. Conference materials and lunch won’t be guaranteed for late and on site registrations.
