Dr. Farhana Siddiqi
Adjunct Professor of Management
After receiving my doctorate, I worked fulltime from 1980 to 1996 in three different companies my husband and I co-founded. We started a commuter airline flying tours to the Grand Canyon from Southern California and Nevada. The company grew to a $24 million business with scheduled, jet operations from Nevada to eight destinations in the U.S. and Mexico. Mexico. We established an FAA approved flight training academy with 22 aircraft, 2 state- of –the- art flight simulators, and in-house aircraft maintenance operations We also operated a scheduled/charter bus company in California, Arizona and Nevada.
I started teaching in 1997 at University of the West and in 1998 at Cal State Long Beach. I have continued to be involved in business and in consulting but not on a full-time basis. In my consulting and business operations, I deal with all aspects of management and marketing. This has enabled me to bring both theory and practical applications to my teaching.
