Prof. Joaquin A. Lim is an Adjunct professor at UWest, received both his B.A. and M.A. in Economics from San Francisco State University. He also received his Professional Designation Certificate from UC Los Angeles. He has been an instructor at the University of Phoenix in Diamond Bar since 1994.

He is also a Regional Manager of First Innovative Group, Alhambra. Professor Lim has been a Councilman of the City of Walnut since 1995 and once was the Mayor of that city.
