|Business Seminar: Prospects of the US Stock Markets in 2011|

The financial markets, particularly stock markets in the US, performed well last year. What are prospects of the markets for this year? What investment strategies should investors take? In this seminar, Mr. Hank Ching, Senior Investment Advisor and Analyst, and Dr. Bill Chen, Chair and Professor of the Department of Business Administration at UWest will address these questions. They will share their experience with the audience and discuss how to identify potential investment opportunities and how to better diversify investment risks.
Mr. Ching is a senior investment advisor and analyst and he is licensed with Series 24 and CA insurance. Mr. Ching used to be the Executive Vice President of a local financial security firm where he was in charge of the Asset Management Division of the company and supervised its headquarter and branch’s trading tasks and business affairs as a compliance officer. Mr. Ching is a senior technical analyst in the stock market for many years and has helped many companies and individual investors diversify their investment portfolio, reduce risk, and improve investment performances. Mr. Ching is an adjunct professor at UWest.
Dr. Yueyun (Bill) Chen is the Chair and Professor of the Department of Business Administration at UWest. He is also the Director of the Center for the Study of Minority and Small Business and the Editor of the Minority and Small Business Review at UWest. Dr. Chen received his Ph. D. with specialization in Finance and M. A. in Economics both from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Dr. Chen has focused his research on Finance, Insurance, Economics, International Business and Small Business Management. He has published papers in these fields in academic journals and presented his research findings in national and international conferences.
