Introduction The Academic Senate is a political body of the university. It includes faculty members elected for two years by the faculty electorate. Thus, it is the voice of the faculty. By its constitution, the Academic Senate has two roles: Formulating policy and procedures, and providing advice on matters relating to the general welfare of the university, including educational affairs, faculty affairs, students affairs, and finance and budget. To accomplish these responsibilities, the Academic Senate needs input from all university stakeholders. Using the Discussion Forum An online forum has been created to enable all interested parties to share their opinions on issues before the Academic Senate, and to read and react to opinions expressed by others.
