Approximately 1,100 energy-efficient lighting fixtures were replaced in every room “everywhere, the whole campus,” said Mimi Lin, assistant to UWest’s facilities team. Work started during the last week of September and is expected to be finished by Friday, Oct. 6, she said. “We got a partial rebate for the fixtures from Southern California Edison” Lin said. UWest paid for the installation labor. The lighting replacement is just one part of UWest’s commitment to lowering the “carbon footprint” of the campus. |

ROSEMEAD – Calif., Oct. 4, 2010 – University of the West will complete this week a campuswide lighting renovation that will improve energy efficiency and lower pollution.
