On Friday, May 13, UWest along with Chinese Scholars Net, Chinese Scholars Association-Southern California, and Chinese CEO Organization-Southern California held a special gathering at UWest to warmly welcome the delegation from Jiangsu Province, China. The delegation has 6 member led by Mr. Xinhua Wu, Chief Officer of the Economic, Science, and Technology Division of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Jiangsu Province. The mission of their trip is to attract high-level talent people to go back China and work there.

President Wu and Dr. Bill Chen attended this event and welcomed the delegation and other guests. Mr. Lianchun Yang and Mr. Rentao Zhu, Consuls of the Consulate General of China in Los Angeles, attended the gathering. Dr. Kwan M. Chan of Chinese Scholars Net, Dr. Bruce Sun, President of Chinese Scholars Association-Southern California, Mr. Cheng Lu, Executive VP of Chinese CEO Organization-Southern California, and other scholars and business owners/executives attended the event.
