|President Liu of Beijing Geely University Visited UWest|

Vice President Huasong Liu of Beijing Geely University, China recently visited the UWest. Ven. Juewei, Dean Bhagat, and Dr. Bill Chen met and talked with him. During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfactions of current cooperation between two institutions, and exchanged ideas on how to develop further and closer cooperation, particularly recruit more students from Geely to study at UWest.
UWest and Geely signed the cooperative agreement in 2008. In 2009, seven students from Geely applied for the UWest’s Bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration. Some Geely graduates will also come to UWest in Fall Semester this year.
Beijing Geely University is a private university in China. It is affiliated with Geely Holding Group which recently acquired Volvo Cars from Ford Motor Co. with $1.8 billion.
