|UWest and Rosemead Chamber of Commerce partner to start Business Assistant Center|
|Wednesday, July 07, 2010|
University of the West recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Rosemead Chamber of Commerce to jointly start and run a Business Assistant Center.
The purpose of establishing this special business center is to help small business owners in the city. In addition, this will give UWest faculty and students opportunities to apply theories to solve real business problems so faculty and students will have more practical and hands-on knowledge and skills.
During the service hours, UWest faculty/students will meet with current or potential business owners and provide them with free consulting services on business and management related issues, such as accounting/financing, business plan, marketing and management.
