| UWest Successfully Hosted the 22nd International Conference on The Pacific Rim Management |

The University of the West successfully held an international conference on the Pacific Rim Management from July 13 to 14th. This 22nd International Conference is organized by the Association for Chinese Management Educators (ACME). Twenty one papers were presented, and the topics include technology and innovation management, transportation, communication and logistics, financial management, marketing and international trade, management information systems, virtual community and SNA, consumer behavior, and internet and e-commerce. There were about 40 people attended this conference. Participants come from all over the world, including the US, Taiwan, and China. Dr. Joseph Wen, Dean of the College of Business Administration and Public Policy at California State University, Dominguez Hills, gave a keynote speech on “The Vision on Higher Education in the US” during the banquet on Friday, July 13. |
