Mr. Bor Lun Yu (余博倫) Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship honors a great man who was ambitious, courageous, honest and just.  In the early 1900s Mr. Yu set out from China to Germany to obtain a higher education; then he fought for his country, provided it strategic counsel and helped his nation gain independence and peace.  This $1,000 scholarship is established in Mr. Yu’s honor, may the recipient be bold and find new ways to engage youth on the righteous noble path.

Two $500 scholarships will be awarded per academic semester in fall and spring.

Requirements: 

• Applicants must have been previously enrolled for one semester in a degree-seeking program before they can become eligible to apply;
• Open to UWest graduate full-time students including those who are in their final semester;
• Awards are given based on academic performance, character, and real financial need;
• Candidates maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scales.
