University of the West welcomed a group of enthusiastic college students from Gumi University, South Korea, as part of the Program in American Cultural Exchange that allows international students to experience the U.S. while improving their English.
The group of fifteen students consists of seven men and eight women from a wide range of academic backgrounds, including Helicopter Engineering, Hotel Management and Tourism, Accounting and Taxes, Nursing, Early Age Education, Skin Therapy, and more.
Taking advantage of their two-month winter break back home in South Korea, the students flew thousands of miles to UWest to increase their English proficiency and broaden their cultural horizons in sunny Southern California.
The students live in the University of the West Residence Halls for the duration of their stay and will visit numerous cultural and entertainment centers in the region. In addition, the students will attend rigorous academic English improvement courses on the campus.
University of the West wishes them the best and we hope to make the most out of their stay here with UWest PACE program!
