Graduate Estimated Cost of Attendance (COA) for 2025-2026 Award Year

To ensure each of our incoming students is prepared to succeed at UWest, we seek applicants who meet the following minimum prior grade point average (GPA) requirements:

Graduate Minimum GPA

  1. MBA, Professional MBA: 2.50
  2. MA Religious Studies: 3.00
  3. MA Psychology: 3.00
  4. MDiv Buddhist Chaplaincy: 3.00
  5. DBMin Buddhist Ministry: 3.00
  6. PhD Religious Studies: 3.00
  7. PhD Eastern Philosphy & Religion: 3.00

*Note: When space is available, programs may accept applications after the official deadline. For late application questions, contact INFO@UWEST.EDU.

**International Applicant Deadline: Applicants must have a valid F-1 visa to attend UWest. Those who do not yet have a current F-1 visa will need to apply to UWest at least three months in advance of the intended start date to allow time for the visa approval process.

Fill Out the Application

  • Fill out the online application form.
  • Pay the Application Fee – $50 for domestic applicants / $100 for international students (non-refundable). Payment is accepted by credit card, check, or through the online portal. Pay your application fee here.

Statement of Purpose

  • 500–600 words (typed, double-spaced), describing:
    Why you’ve chosen to pursue graduate study at UWest
    Your specific area of interest or research
    Your academic, professional, and personal goals

Transcripts

  • Submit sealed or official digital transcripts from all universities attended..
  • A copy of your most recently earned diploma (bachelor’s or master’s).Documents can also be emailed to documents@uwest.edu.

Identification

Legal photo ID (e.g., passport, driver’s license) and, if applicable, a copy of your Social Security and/or Permanent Resident card.
