Campus Life

Office of Student Life

One of the most frequently heard comments about UWest is “The people here are soooo nice!” And it’s true. UWest is an unusually welcoming, friendly place. Our untraditional approach to life and learning leads to an especially congenial attitude of cooperation and camaraderie. And then there is the Office of Student Life.  Its goal is to make UWest the best possible place to study, research, and live. We are your champions when it comes to making the campus reflect the needs of our students, so when you’re here we invite you to reach out to us with any questions or comments that aren’t addressed on the website.

This page provides a guide to UWest policies and regulations to ensure that all of your questions are answered. Okay, maybe not all of them: When is my favorite corner of the library empty? When will the dining hall serve that amazing red velvet cake again? For those, you might have to do some of your own work. But we’re here when you need us—and we have some good friends in the dining hall, so we might even be able to help you out with your cake dilemmas!

The University of the West is your campus now and we hope you will join with us in the quest to make it better with each passing year. Your suggestions and ideas about campus life are valuable to us, so please don’t hesitate to let us know how we can create a better campus environment for you.
