Reminder on behalf of the UWest Chaplaincy Club and the university:
Subject: Please Join Prayer & Healing Vigil Friday 3/19@6pm

Dear campus community,

Please join us in community, prayer, and healing tomorrow evening, Friday, March 19 at 6pm (Pacific Time) via Zoom in response to xenophobic, racist, and gender-based acts of violence. The Tuesday night shootings in Georgia are the catalyst for this gathering of prayer and community. However, this tragic event is just one of far too many of the past year and beyond against Asian and Asian American Pacific Islander, Black, Indigenous and other People of Color, women, gender non-conforming, LGBTQ, and people of differing nationalities and faith affiliations. We come together to denounce violence, honor victims, pray for peace, and be reminded of our inclusive and compassionate values and community.

In solidarity,

Chaplaincy Club, Buddhist Chaplaincy Department, Student Life, Wellness Center and University of the West
