To celebrate Black History Month, the Office of Student Life and REL Graduate Council are organizing a trip to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) on Friday, February 25, 2022.
LACMA currently features The Obama Portraits by Kehinde Wiley and Amy Sherald on tour from the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery (NPG). To complement this presentation, LACMA has curated the Black American Portraits exhibition.
The field trip will include free tickets for UWest students, faculty, and staff, courtesy of the REL Graduate Council (normal admission for adults is $25 and $16 for students). The Office of Student Life will organize a bus for transportation–the cost will be $5 per person.
