IBEF Scholarship Update for Spring 2022 Application

Greetings to you all!

The UWest Financial Aid Office is pleased to send you the following announcement on behalf of IBEF.

IBEF has announced that the application deadline for Spring 2022 scholarship and IBEF Research Grant is November 15, 2021.  All the application materials can be submitted electronically as a continuing effort to keep everyone safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

I. Continued Recipients

Please make sure that you submit all of the following required documents for your Spring 2022 scholarship renewal:

II. First-time IBEF Applicants (including newly admitted students)

Please make sure you submit all of the following documents:

  • Please complete the fillable IBEF Scholarship Application Form , sign and email the form to graceh@uwest.edu
  • Two letters of recommendation. Please have your recommenders email their letter of recommendation directly to graceh@uwest.edu by Nov. 15.
  • Completed IBEF monastic verification letter (for monastic student only)
  • Official Transcripts
  • IBEF Essay to answer the questions of:
    1. Statement of Purpose (Why did you decide to study Religion?)
    2. The reason why you are applying for Scholarship;
    3. After you graduate, what do you hope to contribute to Buddhism?

 III. IBEF Graduate Student Research Grant

Please refer to IBEF Graduate Students Research Grant Policy and Procedure for details.
