The Institute for the Study of Humanistic Buddhism presents Dr. Yu-Chen Li, from National Chengchi University, in a lecture titled, “Journeys to the South: Chan Buddhist Records from the Chinese Diaspora.” The remote event will take place on Monday, February 28, at 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
The lecture is part of ISHB’s monthly series, Modern and Contemporary Buddhist Encounters in the Southern Sinosphere. Dr. Li will discuss the movements of Chinese Buddhism in and from Malaysia and the ways in which monks and nuns understand the localization and globalization of Malaysian Chinese Buddhism.
